A minimal residual oil content in the meal coming out of the hexane extractor is a clear benefit for a crushing plant; the more oil yield the better revenue for the crusher. In a modern and efficient extraction plant, a residual oil content ≤ 0.5% for soybean meal is expected.
In this integrated process run, 40 kg of crude miscella (10 kg oil) with a PL content of 1.2 % (in crude oil) was subjected to the membrane pretreatment process. The MEUF process resulted in 38 kg of treated miscella (9.12 kg oil) with reduced PL content (P 6.5 mg/kg-oil), suitable for the membrane desolventizing process.

The facility will comprise crushing, vegetable oil refining and lecithin production and packaging capabilities. Construction is expected to begin in early 2024. The new facility will employ over 100 people and have annual soy crushing capacity of 1,500,000 MT, and annual edible (RBD) soybean oil production capacity of 320,000 MT.
